Klout styles, in real-talk
Specialist: You tweet a lot of stuff that a maximum of any given two of your followers will care about at once. People are clearly following you for some reason other than what you have to say, which is all there is to Twitter, so we don’t get it. Ratio of retweets to followers: confusingly low
Broadcaster: People retweet your tweets for their content. Somehow, people care about what you say even though you aren’t famous. Ratio of retweets to followers: surprisingly high
Explorer: You retweet the Broadcasters and Thought Leaders, and have little other value. Ratio of retweets to followers: negative, we guess?
Thought Leader: People retweet you because you are famous first, and for the content second, if at all. We have an autographed headshot wall for thought leaders in our office. Just sayin’. Ratio of retweets to followers: unsurprisingly high, since you are famous.
